Black Girls with Eczema was created to fill a gap in representation, resources, and real conversations around eczema in the Black community.

We are a safe space, a support system and a movement that promises to move the needle forward in Black women’s skin health.

Hey, Beautiful Black Girl

Black Girls With Eczema (BGWE) is a community for Black women with eczema and Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) to be celebrated, share honest stories, connect with fellow eczema sisters who understand your struggles, and tap into trustworthy eczema and skincare resources.

Officially born after the 2025 Eczema Expo, hosted by the National Eczema Association, BGWE came to life after it became clearer than ever that Black women with eczema need a safe space to share, ask questions, cry, and feel safe and understood enough to take off the masks and be truly seen.

As we near our first anniversary, we have already reached thousands online, spreading across social platforms and continents! Our founder, Cynthea Corfah, teamed up with fellow BGWE members and developed content and calls to further connect across socials, creating monthly virtual meet-ups.

Now we are taking it up a notch and heading to Arizona for our first in-person retreat experience. And we want you to be there! This will be an experience like no other in a very intimate space with like-minded women. Mark your calendars for October 7-9 so we can see you!
