Black Girls with Eczema was created to fill a gap in representation, resources, and real conversations around eczema in the Black community.
We are a safe space, a support system and a movement that promises to move the needle forward in Black women’s skin health.

To empower, educate and support Black women living with eczema.
Our Story
Black Girls With Eczema (BGWE) is a global community for Black women with eczema and Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) to connect, learn about trustworthy resources and heal collectively in supportive spaces.
Founded in 2025 by eczema patient advocate Cynthea Corfah, BGWE hosts monthly support calls with members spanning across four countries. Its Instagram audience reaches hundreds of thousands of viewers through relatable content about living with eczema, product recommendations, self-love, and skin empowerment.
Black Girls with Eczema hosts virtual and in-person events like Wellness Walk Day, a virtual gentle movement event promoting real-life wellness; The Skin Sync, a holistic wellness experience for Black women featuring a discussion with Black women health care professionals; and is introducing the first of its kind Black Girls with Eczema Retreat on October 7-9, 2026 at The Jenesis House in Sedona, Arizona.

We exist to provide safe spaces for healing, empowerment, and visibility on and beyond the skin.
